About Popup Chinese:
Popup Chinese teaches standard mandarin from downtown Beijing. We have a huge archive of free Chinese lessons and resources we support by selling paid subscriptions to premium learning content: transcripts, review files and test-prep materials. Echo is a graduate of the Beijing Language and Culture University, where she majored in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. She has been teaching mandarin offline since 2004 and online since 2006. Echo has taught for the Harvard Beijing Academy Project and has several years experience eaching senior managers from leading Korean companies in Beijing including SK and Samsung.
David Lancashire:
With a background in Chinese studies, technology and entrepreneurship, David is responsible for the development of the Popup platform. He has a graduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a recognized leader in the field of online Chinese language education.
Brendan O'Kane:
Writer, translator and teacher, Brendan O'Kane is a leading Sinologist and is well-known in the field of Chinese literary translation. In addition to writing a popular Chinese-language column for the Macao Times, Brendan has worked as a translator for contemporary Chinese literature and film. His credits include the Chinese blockbuster "Nanjing, Nanjing" among others.
